How to choose your Embossing machine model

1. Embossing machines.

The key to selecting the right machine is matching the tonnage (pressure) and platen size (work area) to the typical products being made.

Model Pressure Platen Size (mm) Ideal Applications & Use Cases
Small Press 40 Tons 300x300 Artisans & Prototyping: Perfect for small items like keychains, watch straps, wallet flaps, small logos, and sample making. Ideal for low-volume workshops.
Medium Press 80 Tons 380x380 Small Businesses & Specific Parts: Excellent for most shoes (vamps, quarters), medium-sized bag parts, belts, and larger logos. A great mid-range workhorse.
HG-E120T 120 Tons 600x500 Industrial Production: Designed for large leather goods. Can handle full panels for handbags, backpacks, briefcases, larger leather seat cover sections, and equestrian saddle panels.
HG-E180T 180 Tons 750x600 Heavy-Duty Industrial Use: For the largest and most demanding applications. Can emboss entire automotive hide seat covers in one pass, large upholstery panels for furniture, and full-sized shoe uppers for boots in a single cycle.
  • For more, Artisans & Crafters: The 40T and 80T models are perfect for this market.

  • Small & Medium Leather Goods Enterprises: Manufacturers of bags, wallets, and belts would look at the 80T and HG-E120T models.

  • Footwear Manufacturers: Shoe factories would require the 80T model for components and the larger models for full-piece embossing.

  • Automotive & Furniture Upholstery Companies: These industrial clients are the primary target for the high-tonnage HG-E120T and HG-E180T machines to handle large sheets of leather for car seats, aviation interiors, and luxury furniture.

  • Equestrian Gear Manufacturers: Makers of saddles and tack require the pressure and size of the larger models.

    2. The Embossing Plates (Dies)

We supply custom-made metal dies based on the customer's design. The process typically involves:

  1. Design Submission: The customer provides a vector art file (e.g., AI, EPS, DXF) of their logo or pattern. We also can supply the embossing patterns for choice. We have over 1000 different patterns for shoes, bags, etc, as well for tannery 1370x1000mm, 1370x660mm.

  2. Die Manufacturing: We have 5 workshops to make the embossing plates/dies which is the biggest resources combined whole China. The embossing plates/dies/moulds, usually from brass, steel, aluminum, for fine detail and long lifespan or steel chrome for larger patterns and cost-effectiveness.

  3. Mounting: The die is then mounted to a metal backing plate that is securely fastened to the machine's upper platen.
